Pamela Lomax Tippit is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). She holds an M.S. in counseling psychology from Alabama A&M University and a B.A. from the University of Alabama. Before starting Blissful Mind Behavioral Health in March 2018. Ms. Tippit worked for over 18 years serving diverse populations and clients ranging from children to seniors. Her varied experience in community mental health, hospital, and school settings have provided the perfect foundation for providing comprehensive therapy services in the private practice setting. 

Along with her private practice, Ms. Tippit is a co-founder of the Mental Health Professionals of North Alabama (MHPNA). MHPNA provides therapists in private practice a network for support and referrals for everything from therapists and social workers for most populations, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and psychologists. As a therapist in private practice, she realized the necessity and value of creating a network of easily accessible mental health resources as an integral part of delivering comprehensive services to her community

 

She is passionate about serving BIPOC clients and helping all clients build resilience and emotional intelligence and so that they have the possibility to live the positive and productive lives that we are all destined for. Ms. Tippit provides services that help give all clients the tools, encouragement, and information to live in a way that provides support, uplifts them in their life journey, and helps them find bliss along the way.

Ms. Tippit is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association (ALCA) and was voted ALCA Chapter II Outstanding Member in 2019.

Pamela Lomax Tippit resides in Huntsville, AL with her husband, Eric Tippit, daughter Destiny Lomax, and Yorkipoo, Beauregard AKA Beau.

Lisa Duez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20-years’ experience in the mental health field.  She holds graduate degrees in Public Administration from Troy State University, and Clinical Social Work from Norfolk State University. Ms. Duez also holds an Approved Supervisor Credential (ACS) and is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). Before stating Turning Point Counseling and Consulting, Ms. Duez spent time working in community mental health and outpatient counseling. Ms. Duez has provided clinical services in a variety of settings and with a variety of populations including substance abuse, families, veterans, adolescents, and children. Ms. Duez has held several clinical director positions and has been a part of the implementation of several trauma-informed programs and grants in the Commonwealth of Virginia.


Ms. Duez strongly believes in implementing trauma informed care principles on both a macro and a micro level in organizations by training staff on trauma informed practices and employing therapists that are willing to practice with trauma informed principles.
In 2016, Ms. Duez began to practice independently and eventually formed a group practice, Turning Point Counseling and Consulting. Turning Point Counseling and Consulting strives to meet mental health needs in the community by providing access to trauma informed care. In March of 2020, Turning Point Counseling added an additional five therapists to the Virginia Beach Office.  In March of 2021, the practice opened a second location in Chesapeake, Virginia.  A highly trained trauma therapist, Mrs. Duez is an EMDRIA certified therapist and Approved Consultant. She regularly provides clinical supervision to Supervisee in Social Work and has recently developed a training titled Mental Health Matters, which is geared toward the Law Enforcement Community, and a training for individuals in supervision to become therapists on managing Transference and Countertransference. Ms. Duez’s clinical work is also geared toward trauma informed practice, and Ms. Duez utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients resolve trauma and move forward in their healing.  Ms. Duez has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Tidewater Community College for over 19 years, teaching classes in the Administration of Justice Program. She is on the leadership team of the Virginia Community Response Network, (VCRN) and is a graduate of Virginia’s Streetwise MBA program.


Ms. Duez is a proud law enforcement spouse and mother of two United States
Army Soldiers. She is an avid reader, hiker, and traveler.

Talented psychotherapist, relationship transformation Clini-Coach®, creative entrepreneur, course creator, and graduate of THE Ohio State University are some of the credits of the dedicated and innovative Michelle Salazar.

 

Michelle started her career in the community mental health arena in 1990, providing in-home services to those experiencing severe symptoms. She later moved into administration, offering supervision and consultation to a wide range of providers. For many years, she served as Clinical Director of an outpatient behavioral health agency, while expanding her career through Guardian ad Litem services, testifying in court and providing written recommendations for custody disputes. In 2015 Michelle established Momentum Counseling & Consultation, bringing together a wellness team of caring and dynamic therapists to create Western Ohio’s  premiere private practice.

 

Michelle now complements her successful clinical and consulting career with coaching for disconnected couples. ReKindle & ReIgnite is her signature program for  couples who refuse to settle for Roommate Syndrome. With her Clini-Coach® certification and passion for lasting relationships, Michelle spends her days inspiring disconnected couples to fan that dimming spark into a red-hot flame. 

 

Michelle is especially proud of her collaboration with two other outstanding colleagues who have come together to form the EndeAVOr Academy. Together they provide top-notch continuing education in fantastic and restful destinations, proving that helping professionals CAN be wildly successful AND well-rested through targeted self-care strategies.

 

When Michelle is not promoting the mental health and success of others, she fills her emotional cup with family activities and time with friends. She  enjoys travel and strongly believes in the healing properties found in the beauty of experiencing new surroundings and meeting new people.
